Campbell Darby is a previous Director-General Emergency Management Australia. Campbell had a long operational career in the Royal Australian Navy, including numerous ship and shore commands.
Leaving the Navy as Commodore, he changed career direction and joined the NT government to manage a number of portfolios, including strategic emergency management, disaster recovery and security.
Campbell was Director-General of Emergency Management Australia from 2010 to 2012, a period that included numerous major domestic and international disaster events. Since leaving EMA, he has continued working to improve policy outcomes, planning and preparedness across inter-Government coordination, national security and disaster management.
