Dr Jeff Godfredson AFSM

Dr Jeff Godfredson was the Chief Fire Officer of the Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade from 1988 to 1998, and Chief Fire Officer of the Northern Territory Fire Service from 1984 to 1986. He has been an active member of the International Fire Chiefs’ Association (USA) and Past Chairman of the Metro Chiefs, was a Director (Asia Pacific and Middle East) of the National Fire Protection Association, and has consulted internationally in the fire engineering field. Under his leadership the Melbourne MFB was the first fire service in Australia to adopt a medical first responder program in partnership with Ambulance Victoria, a program that has saved many lives.
