Chas Keys PhD ESM

Chas Keys formed a strong interest in the management of floods during his 14-year career with the New South Wales State Emergency Service, during which he focused on developing the state’s flood planning initiatives and leading in the development of Australian best-practice manuals on flood warning, flood preparedness and flood response. In retirement he is a researcher and writer on floods and floodplain management and has written several books and many articles and newspaper pieces on these matters.
