Steve Rothwell AFSM

Steve Rothwell is the former Chief Fire Officer and Director of the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service, and boasts a 40-year career in the fire service, working in locations all around Australia. His roles have included Assistant Commissioner of various regions within Queensland including Queensland’s Rural Fire Service. Steve was also Manager of Strategic Development in the Brisbane South Region and prior to that was a Station Officer in numerous locations and functions in Queensland and the ACT. He began his career in the ACT Fire Brigade, and is a past President and Executive Officer of the Australasian Road Rescue Organisation. He is currently a volunteer with the Queensland SES and also Marine Rescue.
